Content Analysis
The chapter “Climate Change is not a hysteria, it’s a fact”is a speech conveyed by Leonardo Di Carpico. He addressed the world leaders assembled for the United Nations Climate Summit on 23 Sep 2014and urged them to address the greatest challenge of our existence on this planet.

Curricular Objectives

            The learners  
1. Understand the value of protecting our earth.
                        2. Understand the harmful effect of increase in pollution.
                        3. Learns their duty and responsibility towards the nature to keep it
                        healthy.

Pre-Requisites
The learners
1.      Knows about increase in pollution.
2.      Knows about the harmful effect of pollution.
3.      Knows that pollution can cause climate change.

Poster making, notice writing.

            Laptop, flashcard, blackboard.

Creating Mental readiness

            Teacher creates an informal interaction with the students and shows some picture related to the chapter.








Introducing the Method of Teaching

            Teacher introduces the ICT based method to the students.

Presentation

            Teacher presents the video speech delivered by Leonardo Di Carpio in the Laptop.


Linking Up

            The teacher says to the students about the dangerous situation through which the world is moving. She says about the world which was very beautiful, fresh and free from pollution and asks the students that it is our responsibility to bring the old young and beautiful nature.

Silent Reading

            Teacher asks the students to read the chapter silently and identify their difficulties.

Clarification of Doubts

            Teacher explains the difficult portion and the meanings of the difficult world.

Hysteria- is a state of uncontrolled excitement.
Concerned- relate to, affect, involve by interest.
Undeniable- definitely true.
Intensify- becomes greater in strength, amount or degree.



Scaffolding Question

            Teacher asks some question to build up thought, predict and establish the understanding of the students.
1.      Who is giving the speech?
2.      How many people marched in the New York Street?
3.      What do Leonardo Di Caprio want?

Introducing the Activity

            Teacher introduces the activity among the student.

            Activity-1
                        Draft a notice for the school notice board inviting             all the students and their parents for a seminar on the             topic ‘Pollution Control Measures.’

            Activity-2
                        Draw a poster asking the people to conserve the             nature and protect it from pollution.

Presentation of the Idea

            Learners present their ideas and works in the class.

Conclusion

            Teacher concludes the chapter happily with students involvement.

Follow up Activity

            You are Anand/Anandi. Write a speech to be delivered at the morning assembly in your school about the increase in pollution through year by interpreting the data from the graph.
