WEEKLY JOURNAL
Week
One:25th Nov 2016, Friday
As part of our B.Ed curriculum I along
with two of my friends from Vendar choose Govt. H.S.S Puthoor for our second
spell of teaching practice. Our teaching practice started from 24 Nov 2016. We
reached the school on time and met Mrs Usha Miss, the Head Mistress of the
school. Later we met our concerned teacher.
I took my class from Mr Shaji Sir. The
two days of the week was quite interesting, as it gave me an opportunity to
know more about the school, its environment, its working, the different
departments and the different types of students in the school. It was entirely
a different experience for me. The school is having an inclusive type of
education system. We were given the task of serving food for the students
during lunch time. By the end of this week I came to know the complete working
environment of the school, the kind of students and their behaviour. Expecting the
coming week will give some new and interesting experiences.
Week
Two: 2nd Dec 2016, Friday
During this, we had an assembly which
was conducted by differentially abled students. A student from them sang a song
which was memorising one. This week was not as same as the previous one, it was
quite a busy week. I started to take my classes as assigned by Mr Shaji Sir. I
was given class VIII E, IX B and IX C.
By the end of this week I completed my
eight lesson templates. Three lesson templates of class IX and five of class
VIII and took two revision classes in class IX.
During this week the student’s
strength become very low, because most of the students were busy with the
practice for the youth festival. The competition was on 28th, 29th
and 30th of November. Students from Govt. H.S.S. Puthoor were not
behind in any events. Hope the coming week will be interesting as this week.
Week
Three: 9th Dec 2016, Friday
By the end of this week, I have
completed my ten more lesson templates and come to know more about the students
of this school. As this was our second spell of teaching practice we became
more experienced with the students, this gave as a wide opportunity to know
more about students. We had an assembly this week where the students of class
IX conducted the assembly, the assembly gave the students a platform to present
their talents, make other students aware about some important contemporary
problems etc. With the support and co-operation of the teaching staffs our
teaching practices of this week ran very smoothly.
Week
Four: 6thJan 2017, Friday
This week we started our teaching
practice after along gap, as we were having our exams, followed by Christmas
exams and ten days holidays for the students. We were happy and fresh to start
our classes on a very new year. During this week all the teachers were busy in
correcting the answer sheets to make mark list. It was a great experience for
us.
This week I started with revision in
three of the classes, which helped them to recall the portion taught before the
holidays. This week was a new start in the New Year hope this year will be
fruitful one to all of us.

were having a friendly atmosphere from the students, teaching and non-teaching
staffs of the school. This week I have completed three of my lesson template

assigned by Mr Shaji Sir. I am very happy to complete my task as best as
possible, to make many friends and to create a place of respect in the minds of
all the students whom I taughts.
Week
Seven: 9th Dec Friday
This Seventh and the last week of our teaching practice
session. During this week we conducted our Concretisation Programme.
By the end of this week I have
completed all the programmes along with class and took some revision test.
During this week a term from NCERT came to visit the school, for this the
students were prepared with a neat class room and a well maintained class
library. Different programmes were conducted as a part of this. It was very sad
to come back, leaving behind as the experience and friendly atmosphere with the
students. During our teaching practice session the person who had influenced
all of us together was the cook of the school. They were not just cook rather
they were having a motherly kindness to each and every students in the school.
